What you should know about us before you apply.
GetSafariTours is two people. Karlis sells safaris and Viesturs builds the platform they run on. We started in 2025 and we’re based in Riga. The trips we plan go to Tanzania, Uganda and Zanzibar, for travellers from the US and UK who found us online.
There’s no office. We work from wherever we happen to be and talk on WhatsApp. Whoever joins us works the same way: from home, from the library, between lectures. What we care about is that leads get answered well and on time, not where you sit while you do it.
More of the company than you’d guess runs on software we wrote ourselves. AI drafts replies, tidies the pipeline and takes care of the boring parts. When something feels repetitive, we automate it. And since the person writing the automations is one of the two founders, that usually happens within days.
Being an early hire at a company this size means there’s no process to hide behind and nobody between you and the founders. It also means a role will bend toward whoever takes it. If parts of a job description read as unfinished, that’s because they are.

Karlis ran product at Bolt, where Africa is a major market. That’s how he first ended up in Tanzania and Kenya, and eventually in the safari business. He goes to ITB Berlin and WTM London every year, and he’s the one who would teach you the sales playbook.

Viesturs has spent over a decade building products from scratch, from website builders to video games. At GetSafariTours he builds and runs the whole platform in-house: the website, the booking tools and the AI stack the company runs on. When you flag something as repetitive, he’s the one who makes it go away.
