Baobab Tented Camp is a permanent tented camp set in the wildlife corridor between Tarangire National Park and Lake Burunge, surrounded by towering ancient baobab trees. Managed by Mawe Lodges, the camp offers 10 en-suite tented rooms on raised platforms, including a family tent, each with hot showers, flush toilets, and private verandas overlooking the wilderness.
The central area features a restaurant serving international and African cuisine, a well-stocked bar, and a campfire area affectionately known as 'Bush TV.' Solar power provides electricity throughout, with WiFi available in the main building. The camp is sustainability-certified and practices responsible tourism.
Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, prolific birdlife, and big cat sightings. Guests can enjoy unlimited game drives, walking safaris, night drives, and hot air balloon flights over the park. The migration corridor location means wildlife is abundant throughout the year.
Tarangire National Park is famous for ancient baobab landscapes and some of Tanzania’s largest seasonal elephant herds. During the dry season, wildlife concentrates along the Tarangire River, making it one of the strongest parks for classic game drives and birding.
