Gnu Migration Camp is a mobile safari camp managed by Mawe Lodges that follows the great wildebeest migration across the Serengeti. From June to mid-November, the camp operates near the Mara River in northern Serengeti's Kogatende area, offering front-row access to the dramatic river crossings. From December to March, it relocates to the Ndutu plains in southern Serengeti for calving season.
The camp features 10 spacious tented rooms including family tents, each with en-suite bathrooms, hot showers, flush toilets, and private verandas. Solar power provides electricity with WiFi available in common areas. The camp includes a restaurant, bar, and campfire area, operating on a strict leave-no-trace philosophy.
Activities include game drives in open-roof Land Cruisers, walking safaris, hot air balloon flights, bush dining experiences, sundowners, and cultural visits to Maasai communities. The strategic seasonal positioning ensures guests experience the migration's most spectacular moments.
