Mawe Tented Camp is a semi-permanent safari camp set along the Ngarenanyuki River in the Soit-le-Monotony area of Central Serengeti, one of the park's prime big cat territories. Managed by Mawe Lodges, the camp offers 14 spacious tented rooms including family and honeymoon suites, each with en-suite bathrooms, flush toilets, hot showers, and private verandas overlooking the savannah.
The camp runs on solar power with generator backup and features a large dining tent, an atmospheric lounge bar with Out of Africa decor, and nightly campfires under the stars. WiFi is available in common areas. A nearby waterhole draws wildlife close to camp year-round, making for excellent game viewing even between drives.
Activities include game drives in open-roof Land Cruisers, hot air balloon safaris over the Serengeti plains, and bush breakfasts and sundowners in private locations within the park. The great wildebeest migration passes through the area in April-May and November.
