Itinerary
You will depart early in the morning for the remote Ngaresero village, located in a dramatic region surrounded by Lake Natron. The area features some of Africa’s harshest yet most stunning scenery. The drive takes around 7–8 hours. Upon arrival, you'll have lunch and rest at the camp in preparation for the night hike. Around 11 p.m., you'll be awakened with tea or coffee and a light snack, before meeting your guide and starting your trek under the stars. Camping services will be available for rest before the ascent.

Continue your hike in the early hours of the morning to reach the summit in time for sunrise. From the top, enjoy sweeping views of the Great Rift Valley, the salt flats of Lake Natron, the distant Kenyan border, Mount Kilimanjaro, and the Ngorongoro Highlands. After exploring the summit and having a picnic breakfast, descend back down the volcano. Lunch will be served at your camp or tented camp, followed by an afternoon visit to Lake Natron to see the Lesser Flamingos and other natural features.

After descending from the volcano, you will drive back to Arusha. Depending on your travel plans, you may connect to a flight or arrange additional accommodation at your own cost. The tour ends with a drop-off at the airport.
