Tour highlights

You will embark on a 4-day/3-night lodge safari near wildlife reserves or national parks. You will stay in a comfortable lodge, maximizing wildlife encounters through guided tours. You will arrive for a warm welcome and orientation, enjoy delicious meals, and capture stunning photographs during morning safaris. Afternoons offer optional lodge activities or leisure time. This condensed safari provides a focused and exhilarating wildlife experience.

Itinerary

We will pick you up at 9 am from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi and head to Materuni village. After registering at the village office, a 45-minute trek leads you to picturesque waterfalls, offering stunning scenery and insights into Chagga culture. You'll enjoy a rest or brave a swim at the waterfall.

Returning through a different path, your day continues with a coffee experience. You'll learn about coffee bean cultivation, drying, and roasting while actively participating. Locals sing and dance around you during this immersive encounter.

Following the coffee adventure, local 'mamas' prepare a delicious Chagga lunch, featuring options like banana stew, pilau, or rice and beans. Afterward, your driver-guide takes you back to Moshi/Arusha, concluding a day of nature, culture, and culinary delights.

The park features a significant elephant population, undulating hills, and vast savannahs speckled with the iconic "upside down" baobab trees. According to the Maasai, these trees are considered the initial tree of creation, providing a stunning backdrop.

Thanks to this diversity, the small park can accommodate a large number of animal species and an incredible array of birdlife. Manyara boasts the largest concentration of baboons in the world, and the lions here are famous for their tree-climbing abilities.
