After breakfast, depart with a picnic lunch and embark on a game drive to the northern Serengeti. You will traverse the Mara River to witness the wildebeest migration. During the annual great migration (August to October), the wildlife viewing along the Mara River is awe-inspiring. The Serengeti-Mara region is one of the prime locations in the park to observe wildebeest crossings during the Dry season. Amidst the great migration, vast herds of wildebeest and their companions congregate on one bank of the Mara River. The crossing can be a lengthy process (sometimes lasting up to several days) for a bold individual, which in turn encourages others to follow. Interestingly, these herds occasionally shift from one bank to the other without any apparent cause. In the evening, you will head to Sero Tented Camp.
