Itinerary

Today, your safari guide will collect you from your hotel in Arusha and transport you to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you will embark on a game drive to explore the park's wildlife.

Encompassing nearly 3,000km² (1,158mi²), Tarangire National Park is famous for its vast elephant herds and majestic baobab trees. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which traverses it and acts as a crucial water source during the Dry season from June to November. During this period, numerous animals congregate along the riverbanks, making it one of the prime times to visit. Tarangire boasts a population of over 2,000 elephants and more than 500 bird species.

Later in the day, you will proceed to Escarpment Luxury Lodge Manyara for your overnight accommodation.

Throughout your safari, you will receive breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinking water daily.

Upon arrival, you will embark on an afternoon game drive and explore the park until sunset.

The Serengeti is renowned as one of the world's greatest wildlife regions, housing approximately 3 million animals, many of which migrate across the plains during the famous migration. The park spans 14,763km² (5,700mi²). Its name, Serengeti, is derived from the Maasai word siringet, which means "endless plains."

After breakfast, you will embark on a half-day game drive in Serengeti National Park. Later, you will commence your journey towards the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.

The central Serengeti is famous for its numerous lion prides, which tend to congregate closer to the heart of the park during the dry season, making this an ideal time for sightings. This region is also renowned as one of the premier spots in Africa to observe leopards, and with some luck, you may come across one lounging in the branches of a sausage tree near the Seronera River.

In the afternoon, you will proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for your overnight stay at Ngorongoro Lodge Melia Collection.

Today, after breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive.

Often described as the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken volcanic caldera on Earth. Formed around 2 million years ago when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed, it is enclosed by walls rising 600m (1,969ft) high. The crater spans about 19km (12mi) across, covering an area of 260km² (100mi²). Within this extraordinary landscape are forests, swamps filled with hippos and open grasslands. It is home to more than 30,000 animals, including elephants, warthogs, flamingos, rare black rhinos, and many big cats. You may also encounter Maasai herders with their cattle sharing the land with buffalo and wildebeest.

In the evening, you will return to your hotel in Arusha.
