5-Day Private Arusha, Tarangire and Ngorongoro Safari

Arusha National Park is a stunning and easily accessible safari destination in northern Tanzania. With its incredible diversity — from Mount Meru to the Momella Lakes and savannah plains — it offers a rich variety of landscapes to explore.

It’s one of the few parks in Tanzania where walking safaris are allowed. Accompanied by an armed ranger, you'll learn about the ecosystem while getting thrillingly close to giraffes, buffalo, and warthogs — sometimes just 20 to 30 meters away!

After a 1.5-hour bush walk, hop into a Land Cruiser for a classic game drive. At the scenic Momella Lakes, you’ll spot flamingos, pelicans, hornbills, ibises, and over 200 bird species.

Want a deeper look at local conservation challenges? Ask your guide to stop at the Ngurdoto Museum. Its exhibits, including poacher snares, highlight the human-wildlife conflict in the region.

Today, your safari adventure leads you to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most thrilling wildlife destinations! The Tarangire River flows through the park, attracting giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and buffaloes — along with the lions that trail behind them. You’re almost guaranteed to witness these magnificent predators!

During the dry season, the river transforms into the sole water source for miles around, drawing in massive elephant herds. Tarangire boasts the largest elephant population in Northern Tanzania for a significant part of the year (especially from June to October and December to March). These gentle giants are not timid and often approach safari vehicles — a completely safe encounter, as they have no natural predators and are simply curious.

For today, we suggest starting early! Consider having your breakfast packed in lunchboxes so you can maximize the prime morning hours at Ngorongoro Crater, when wildlife is most active.

Ngorongoro is one of Tanzania’s most renowned parks, boasting the highest concentration and diversity of wildlife per square kilometer. Anticipate sightings of buffaloes, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and even elusive cats like caracals and servals. If you're fortunate, you may even catch a glimpse of a rare rhino!

You will have lunch by a hippo lake before continuing your safari. Later, you can choose to extend your game drive for a few more hours or head directly to your next lodge.

Your Altezza driver will collect you from your accommodation and drive you to the airport. For international flights, please be prepared to depart 4 hours before your flight.
