Experience the best of northern Tanzania on this budget-friendly 6-day safari. Explore iconic national parks—Serengeti, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara—then conclude with a scenic cultural visit to Materuni Waterfalls and a coffee tour.

Itinerary

Early morning after breakfast around 8:00 am, you’ll have a short briefing before departing to Tarangire National Park. Known for its endless tree savannahs, dramatic baobab trees, and seasonal marshes, the park hosts the largest population of elephants in northern Tanzania. You’ll likely encounter giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, wildebeests, and other antelopes and gazelles. Your guide will open the vehicle’s roof for optimal wildlife viewing. A hot lunch will be served at around 12:30 pm at a scenic picnic site. After further exploration in the afternoon, you will drive to your accommodation in the Mto Wa Mbu area for dinner and an overnight stay.

Continuing around the crater and down the other side, enjoy the famously bumpy 'African massage' drive past traditional Maasai villages. Upon arriving at Naabi Hill Gate, stretch your legs at the viewpoint overlooking Serengeti’s vast plains. A hot bush lunch will be provided either at the gate or en route deeper into the park. You’ll descend into the crater using a steep trail and enjoy game viewing among over 25,000 animals, including numerous bird species, hyenas, and the endangered black rhino.
