Itinerary

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and completion of customs and immigration procedures, you will be greeted by our representative who will transport you to Arusha City, known as the safari capital of Tanzania. Situated below the majestic peaks of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha serves as a significant international diplomatic center.
Arusha serves as the starting point for safari expeditions along the renowned northern circuit. This vibrant and lively city is where African and Western influences intersect in a captivating blend. With both a domestic airport (Arusha) and an international airport (Kilimanjaro), it is an ideal base for excursions to Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, as well as neighboring countries like Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda. Arusha is the administrative capital of the East Africa Community and is home to the East Africa Court of Justice, situated in the northern highlands of Tanzania. Your accommodation for the night will be at Kahawa House Hotel.

You will have an early breakfast, and then we will depart for Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through it. This river, known as the 'river of warthogs,' is the sole water source for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In certain areas, the vegetation is dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands, and lush groundwater forest. The park is famous for its elephant families, often seen gathering by the river. You might also spot giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. These animals are closely followed by various predators, such as lions and leopards. Tarangire is home to more breeding bird species than any other place on Earth. Giant baobab trees, some over 200 years old, are scattered throughout the park. In the late afternoon, you will drive to your accommodation for dinner and spend the night there.

After an early breakfast, proceed through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and head towards Serengeti National Park with game viewing along the way. Serengeti is widely recognized as the most famous wildlife sanctuary globally, unparalleled in its natural beauty and scientific significance. It boasts the highest concentration of plains game in Africa. The migration is what the Serengeti is most renowned for. Every October and November, over a million wildebeest and around 200,000 zebras migrate south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains. They then move west and north after the long rains in April, May, and June. The ancient instinct to move is so strong that no drought, ravine, or crocodile-infested river can stop them. Serengeti is undeniably the habitat of the iconic great wildebeest migration. In the late afternoon, return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart from the Serengeti and head to Ngorongoro Crater for a game viewing drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is renowned as one of Africa’s most famous locations and is known to have the highest density of wildlife on the continent. Often referred to as the ‘eighth Wonder of the World,’ the Crater has gained global recognition, drawing an increasing number of visitors each year. While it's common to encounter other vehicles in this area, you are assured of exceptional wildlife sightings in an awe-inspiring setting. Ngorongoro is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and stands out as a unique destination in Africa. It is recognized as one of the prime spots in the country to observe the endangered black rhinoceros. The park is home to the entire Big Five and is especially notable for lion and Cape buffalo sightings throughout the year. A packed lunch will be provided at a designated picnic area. You will have an early breakfast and then drive to the nearby Lake Manyara National Park for a game viewing drive. Your first encounter will be a sighting of large troupes of baboons. The park gets its name from a plant called Euphorbia tirucalli, known as ‘Emanyara’ in the local Maasai language. Patches of yellow fever trees are scattered around the grassy lake shores, and the Rift Valley wall is a prominent feature throughout. The entrance to the park is in a very special environment: a groundwater forest offering a beautiful change of scenery from the savannah-dominated parks. The lush green vegetation, tree-climbing lions, the soda lake inhabited by thousands of pink-hued flamingos, large water birds, troops of baboons, and the Rift Valley escarpment make your safari to this area unforgettable. Packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. Late in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha in time for your homebound flight or a flight to Zanzibar.
