6-Day Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti Safari

Today, your safari adventure takes you to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most thrilling wildlife destinations! The Tarangire River flows through the park, attracting giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and buffaloes —along with the lions that trail them. You're almost guaranteed to catch a glimpse of these magnificent predators!

During the dry season, the river becomes the sole water source for miles around, drawing in massive elephant herds. Tarangire boasts the largest elephant population in Northern Tanzania for a significant part of the year (especially from June to October and December to March). These gentle giants are not timid and often approach safari vehicles —a completely safe encounter, as they have no natural predators and are simply curious.

For today, we suggest starting early! Consider having your breakfast packed in lunchboxes so you can maximize the prime morning hours at Ngorongoro Crater, when wildlife is most active.

Ngorongoro is one of Tanzania's most renowned parks, boasting the highest concentration and diversity of wildlife per square kilometer. Anticipate sightings of buffaloes, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and even elusive cats like caracals and servals. If you're fortunate, you may even catch a glimpse of rare rhinos!

You'll have lunch by a hippo lake before continuing your safari. Later, you can choose to extend your game drive for a few more hours or head directly to your next lodge.

Serengeti is home to incredible wildlife, such as lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and various antelopes. You might even spot cheetahs, serval cats, and other rare species here. This landscape inspired Disney's The Lion King, although the real Serengeti is even more breathtaking!

You have a full day to explore Serengeti at your own pace! Your guide will help you spot the wildlife you're most excited to see and adjust the schedule to suit your preferences. You can either spend the whole day out with a picnic lunchbox or return to the lodge at midday for a break and a meal at the restaurant. The choice is yours!
