Tour highlights

This 7-day luxury safari takes you to the premier game viewing areas of Northern Tanzania. You will visit Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and baobab trees, and the Serengeti National Park, home to big cats and the Great Wildebeest Migration. Itinerary

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be met by a representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Your overnight stay will be at the Gran Melia, situated at the foothills of Mount Meru in the city of Arusha.

After an early breakfast, we will depart for Tarangire National Park, named after the river that runs through it. This 'river of warthogs' is the only water source for wildlife in the region during the dry season. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. It is the best place to see these gentle giants in their natural habitat, from adorable calves to intimidating bulls.

You may also see giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest, closely followed by predators including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found here than anywhere else on the planet. After lunch and an extensive game drive, we will head to our accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay at Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge.

Specifically established to protect the elephant herds that have made the area renowned, the park provides an amazing wildlife experience. Elephants are not the only animals that Lake Manyara is famous for; tree-climbing lions are occasionally sighted. The alkaline lake is home to flamingos, hippos, and over 400 species of birds. Today involves a full day of game viewing in the Serengeti. It is the migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May, and June.

So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge, or crocodile-infested river can hold them back. The Serengeti is truly home to the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration. You will return to your camp in the late afternoon for dinner and your overnight stay at Signature Serengeti Luxury Tented Safari Camp.

Sometimes described as an ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’, the Crater has achieved world-renowned status.

You are guaranteed great wildlife viewing in a genuinely mind-blowing environment. It is one of the best places in the country to see the endangered black rhinoceros, lions, herds of wildebeests, zebras, and hippos. The park is home to the entirety of the Big Five and is a particularly good place to see lions and Cape buffalo year-round.
