On this mid-range safari, you will explore the best of the Northern Safari Circuit in style. Enjoy high-quality lodges and tented camps with excellent food and service. Itinerary

Once you set foot in Tanzanian soil, you will immediately be embraced by the friendly nature of the people. Outside, our representative awaits with a broad smile to welcome you and accompany you to the lodge where you will receive a heartfelt welcome. During the journey, you will catch a glimpse of Tanzania’s amazing landscape, and perhaps the ever-present impressive Mt. Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, you will be provided with a full briefing for your entire safari.

Mid-range, Palace Hotel

Accommodation included

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Tarangire National Park for amazing game viewing. The park is home to up to 2,500 elephants, especially during the dry season, seen digging for underground water in dry riverbeds. Also expect migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and predators such as lion, cheetah, and leopard. The landscape is spectacular with huge baobab trees and the Tarangire River running through it.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue your game drive in the afternoon. Afterward, head to your permanent lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Dinner is served at the lodge, with free time in the lounge area to reflect on the day’s sightings.

After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 610 meters into the Crater. You will spend the day exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to about 25,000 large mammals including black rhino, wildebeest, zebra, and some of the highest densities of hyena in Africa. Its forests shelter elephants and buffalo, its wetlands host hippos and flamingos, and predators such as lions, jackals, leopards, and caracals also roam here.
After a picnic lunch amidst the grazing herds, drive to Serengeti National Park. Reach your carefully selected tented camp in the mid-afternoon, settle in, and enjoy dinner.

Accommodation included

After breakfast, set out to explore the vast Serengeti. Wildlife sightings are best during the early morning and late afternoon when temperatures are cooler. The Serengeti, meaning “endless plain” in Maasai, hosts unrivaled numbers of wildlife species. Return to camp for lunch, then rest before the afternoon game drive.
Your guide will help you find more elusive species like bat-eared foxes and golden jackals, and rare birds such as purple grenadiers and red-cheeked cordon bleus. Try spotting Secretary birds or grey crowned cranes before returning for dinner.

Mid-range, Shuhudia Adventure Camp or Similar

Accommodation included

Enjoy a morning game drive focused on observing animal behavior. Rather than checking species off a list, this day is about understanding animal interactions and movement patterns. Your expert guide will explain predator signs and prey behavior.
After lunch and some rest at the camp, head out again for an afternoon drive among Serengeti’s kopjes — rocky outcrops that often harbor big cats. Watch for recent signs of hunting activity, and try spotting lions, cheetahs, or leopards near antelope or zebra herds.

After breakfast, depart Serengeti with a final morning game drive en route. Serengeti’s open plains provide ideal conditions for predator and prey encounters and incredible photo opportunities. The ecosystem has remained mostly unchanged for millions of years.
Optionally, visit Oldupai Gorge to explore early human history at the museum. Arrive at the lodge in Ngorongoro Highlands in the afternoon. Enjoy dinner and relax in the main dining area or your room.
