Tarangire National Park is named after the Tarangire River that flows through it. It is known for large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. These giants, some over 700 years old, dominate a landscape also rich with lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, and over 400 species of birds.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the park followed by an afternoon game drive. Then transfer to a permanent tented camp in the wilderness for dinner and overnight.

Spend the full day exploring one of Tanzania’s most impressive parks. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, wildebeest, and lions in open savannahs, riverine woodlands, and near waterholes. The Tarangire River is the main water source, drawing herds and predators alike.
Lunch and dinner are served at camp with an afternoon game drive following your midday break.

In the morning, take a cultural walking tour in the multicultural village of Mto wa Mbu. Visit banana and rice plantations, a local beer factory, a school, and a wood carving workshop.
After lunch, drive through the Great Rift Valley to reach the lush Ngorongoro Highlands, enjoying panoramic views and photo stops. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge.

Descend 610 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater. This natural amphitheater is home to around 25,000 large mammals, including black rhinos, elephants, hippos, lions, hyenas, and flamingos. After a picnic lunch in the crater, continue to Serengeti National Park.
Arrive at your camp mid-afternoon and settle in before dinner.

Morning and afternoon game drives allow you to fully experience the Serengeti’s vast savannahs, rich in predators and herbivores. Return to camp for lunch and relax before the second drive.
Spot bat-eared foxes, golden jackals, Secretary birds, and rare species of birds among the endless plains.

Focus today on animal behavior — not just sightings. Your guide will help interpret hunting signs, predator patterns, and interactions. Afternoon drives take you to rock outcrops (kopjes) where lions or leopards may be resting or hunting.
Dinner is served at camp; relax and rest for tomorrow’s travel day.

Enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti, with sightings of buffalo, crocodiles, hippos, lions, cheetahs, and more.
In the afternoon, visit Olduvai Gorge to learn about early human evolution and prehistory. Continue to your lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight.

Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact park packed with diverse habitats and famous for elephants, baboons, tree-climbing lions, and colorful flocks of flamingos.
Enjoy a picnic lunch with a view over the lake. In the afternoon, return to Arusha for drop-off at the airport for your onward flight.
