Pakuba Safari Lodge

About this accommodation

Mid-rangeUganda

Pakuba Safari Lodge is a mid-range safari lodge perched on the eastern bank of the Albert Nile in the northwestern corner of Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest protected area. The lodge offers 36 well-appointed rooms — including double, twin, and family configurations — each elevated on platforms with private verandas overlooking the Nile and the surrounding savannah.

The lodge serves as an excellent base for exploring Murchison Falls National Park. Guests can embark on morning and evening game drives through the Buligi Peninsula to spot elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, and the endemic Uganda kob, or take a boat cruise up the Nile to the thundering base of Murchison Falls, where hippos, Nile crocodiles, and over 450 bird species frequent the riverbanks. Chimpanzee tracking in the nearby Budongo Forest is also available.

After a day of adventure, the lodge offers a swimming pool with panoramic Nile views, an open-air restaurant serving local and international dishes, and a bar. Wildlife frequently wanders through the grounds, and guests regularly spot hippos, elephants, and antelopes directly from their verandas.
