Arusha Coffee Lodge is set on the outskirts of Arusha on the foothills of Mount Meru, within one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations. It is widely used as a relaxed start or end point for northern Tanzania safaris, with a plantation setting that feels quiet while still being close to town and airport access.
The lodge is built around an original early-1900s plantation homestead and comprises 30 Plantation Houses, including Plantation Suites, spread through evergreen coffee fields. The coffee theme runs throughout the property, from the room styling to the guest experience, and many stays include bean-to-cup coffee activities that showcase local harvesting and roasting traditions.
Facilities include multiple dining venues in the main Plantation House, a bistro and lounge atmosphere with fireplaces, an enclosed swimming pool, and the on-site spa. Guests can also explore Trader’s Walk, and use the lodge as a base for nearby excursions such as Arusha city visits and day trips to Arusha National Park.
